Architecture

How root.ermnvldmr.com nodes are designed, configured, and connected.

What’s a Node?

A node is basically a Docker-based host that runs services. All nodes follow the same patterns - they’re just different in what services they’re running and where they’re located.

Root has three nodes across two networks:

Remote Network

  • daedalus - VPS node for public-facing stuff

Home Network

  • helios - Router add-on node
  • icarus - Main homeserver node
